CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Each of our classes offer different levels of intensity and complexity. If you have some yoga experience, or are an athletic, adventurous student, feel free to jump into any class on the schedule. Keep in mind it takes time to acclimate to the heat and to learn a new discipline or teacher.

Our certified instructors will use their own flair to guide you to become aware of your body so that you can move wisely through each class.

What’s the best class for me?

Everyone has a different preference and benefit in mind. If you’re new to a movement practice consider starting with the classes that have a slower pace. If you have a regular movement practice and are just new to yoga, start anywhere and enjoy the learning process. Make sure to try different class styles and teachers. Private sessions can also be a good place to start. Email michal@camasyoga.com for more information.

HEATED YOGA? I hate to be hot!

The yoga room is heated to just above body temperature. Entering our heated space truly feels more like a warm hug than a blazing inferno. It often takes a few classes in a row to acclimate, but it's absolutely worth it!

The heat, in combination with your movement and breath practice, helps you quiet your mind, stay present, and allow everything else to fade to the background.

Work hard. Sweat hard. Then leave it behind. You will walk away refreshed and feeling great!

THE 26

This style of yoga uses no props, blocks or straps, instead you will transform your body by just by showing up and doing the best you can!

FLOW CLASSES

Mixed Levels

A “flow” is a series of movements including chaturanga, upward facing dog and downward facing dog. (If this seems like jibberish to you, don’t worry, it doesn’t take long to catch on!)

Flow classes move smoothly from one posture to the next, using the breath to support each posture. The level of difficulty will vary during each class. Each teacher brings their own personality, style, and music to the class for a different experience every time you practice.

Most often flow classes are heated.
